if u have the sngwizard, y don`t u use it?

today turned out to be pretty good as i started to win a showdown from time to time again. i was able to climb a new peak of my overall 2011 graph (update will follow within apx. 24h) and i feel confident again. i think i did the right thing by cutting some tables. also i did quite some theory by reading some articles, blog entrys and ofc making some reviews of my sessions. i am pretty happy about my playing style since i just was able to find a small number of leaks/mistakes that i will try to fix in future games.

get it together

wow it seems like i can't win showdowns anymore - i really hope this state won't last long and i will be able to continue my way up. however i will go back to play 6 tables most of the time to see whether it`s my playstyle or if it's my bad luck at the moment. one more reason could be that the other regs adepted to my style and that i have to move to the next level of thinking and playing. but for now i will just watch and review a bit more than usual. i hope i will get back on track soon, since the $55s are as "soft" as the $33s. still i will be able to update the graph this evening or night and i think about making a live session review of a session i already recorded. but i don`t know about that yet. well guys - i just wanted to give you an update - so that`s it for now - see you :)

Is there even a good way to play that?

last night i ended up adding the first $55 sngs (just 5 games) to my session i was 10-tabling in order to not overevaluate these but i guess it kinda stole some attention from the other tables anyway. so the session ended up with me slightly losing on the $11-33 sngs but doing well in the $55s (finished 1,2,3,4,6). looking at my handhistories of the 55s i think i ran quite normal and they should be easily beatable with me continue to adept and learn. well i ended up misplaying one hand i guess and i am not to proud to not share it with you guys.

edit: just recorded and already added a session review of 3 (wanted to review 4 sessions but i made a cut after the 3rd review due to time issues) of my first $55 SNGs. i tried to make the comment in english, but think i messed it up overall. i upped it anyway and am looking forward to your opinions.

Exhausted

i am completely exhausted. i rarely slept this weekend due to parties and construction work at my house. todays work kinda passed by without me nearly doing anything and still i managed to already play some sngs today too. i was able to play another nice winning session and i continue to build up my bankroll. if i can keep up this pace i will have to move up soon although i just played a few $33 sngs. i asked some people and they said that i will do fine at the $55s too, but i don't want to rush it. well if i keep on winning this week even if its just a little bit i guess i have no choice but to give it a shot.
anyway i did manage to record 2 more videos last friday and i will upload them as soon as i have some spare time for it. i hope you will enjoy them.
that's it for now - see you soon and feel free to leave some comments.

AQo hate it or love it

hey folks! just ended a session (50 sngs ~16% roi) and wanted to share 2 hands wich i played kinda similar but against different opponents wich makes one play really bad and the other one was quite good. in both spots i ended up squeezing/restealing AQo and got some new thaughts on these hand that i really like to share - so without any further distractions or mumbling:

lets get this party started

hey guys, this is scherfe and i will write about my poker achievements and thaughts on poker and how to climb up the stakes. i myself am playing for about some years but finally gettin a feel to it. ;) at the moment i am playing the midstake sngs on partypoker ($11-$33) and i hope that i will be able to play the $55+ soon. of course this only will be possible if i keep improving my plays and if i won't get crushed by a downswing before. right now i am pretty confident with my play wich helps me not to overevaluate losing sessions cause i know i can beat my opponents in the long run and often even in the shortrun. at the moment my roi is about 23% for speed sngs in 2011 and although i know that this number is way to high as someone would ever expect that - i still hope to keep it above 10% longterm.

in the future i will provide some handdiscussions and further statistics in this blog in order to keep it interesting. maybe i am going to add some side stories if something extraordinary is going to happen. well if you have any suggestions or comments - feel free to leave them and let my know.

see you soon.
